Laser Cutting and Laser Engraving T’s & C’s
1.Production.
1.1. Laser Cutting and Laser Engraving is an experimental process. Different materials yield different results. RoBoMoJo makes every endeavor to create the results that you require. However, we may not be liable for any laser cutting or laser engraving projects that do not have the desired outcome. We recommend that you provide extra material, so that we may provide you with a sample which becomes the visual contract.
1.2. Should the laser cutter malfunction, we will re-do your project but it is the clients responsibility to supply more materials. No reimbursement for damages to materials during the laser cutting process will be given.
1.3. RoBoMoJo does not administer refunds on deposits due to a change of mind or unsatisfactory results.
1.4. Please note some materials might mark on the underside of the material. This can be removed with a light hand sand or by applying transfer tape at an added cost.
1.5. Inconsistent wood patterns will lead to inconsistent laser engraving patterns. Unfortunately there is no way of telling how the wood will react to etching until we begin to etch.
1.6. When cutting metals or alloys, the likelihood of any scratches or blemishes on the surface is high and we cannot be held liable for this. Buffing, brushing or powder coating will come at an extra cost.
1.7. Once we receive the POP or deposit, please allow 2-5 working days to process your project unless we state otherwise. We are always laser cutting or laser engraving something and production times vary. Please always ask for our current turnaround time.
1.8. We offer an Express 24 hours lead-time for any urgent laser cutting or laser engraving jobs and this would incur an Express rate.
1.9. Please note when laser cutting mirrored acrylic, materials are cut face down and artworks should take this into consideration.
2. Materials:
2.1. We carry the basic laser cutting and laser engraving stock items like MDF, Pine, Bamboo, Clear Perspex etc. The thickness vary from 3mm – 6mm. There is no liability on our part to take responsibility for the quality of materials ordered from our suppliers. Any materials left at our premises after 30 days shall be discarded.
3. Change of Mind.
3.1. Once deposit has been paid and the work begins, no refund on ‘a change of mind’ for any laser cutting or laser engraving work will be performed.
4. Vectoring Process.
4.1. We work to a 30 min period of R225 excl for any digital vectoring needed to create a ‘laser-ready’ file for your laser cutting or laser engraving requirements.
4.2. We therefore require our clients to provide clear and concise briefs that includes digital designs/hand-drawn sketches/reference pictures containing all the relevant project details and information.

4.3. Once the laser cutting or laser engraving brief has been received from you, we will put the file together as instructed. If there are any further changes needed these changes will incur the appropriate fee.
5. Quotes.
5.1. We reserve the right to change our quotation at anytime should unforeseen circumstances or new information arise.
5.2. All quotations are in South African Rands.
6. Shipping and Delivery.
6.1. Quotes for laser cutting and laser engraving work does not include postage and shipping charges. This will add onto to the final invoice on top of the laser cutting or laser engraving work.
6.2. Please request a postage/shipping charge.
6.2. Postage and shipping costs are dependent on destination, package size and weight.
6.4. Clients should consider insuring their order. RoBoMoJo is not liable for any loss or damage caused in transit by third parties.
7. Artworks.
7.1. RoBoMoJo does not take responsibility for laser cutting and laser engraving files that are not setup exactly. Should we need to create your files for you, there will be an additional charge.
8. Payment
8.1. A full payment or a 50% deposit confirms your laser cutting or laser engraving order. When paying by bank transfer please reference the invoice number.
8.2. Any further changes to the files or materials will require re-quoting.
8.3. No work may leave the premises until we receive the full payment.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1. All designs remain copyright of you, the client. The RoBoMoJo creations takes no interest in or responsibility for designs submitted to us. We will not display or distribute your designs to any third party without your express authorisation.
10. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
10.1. Your deposit is an acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
11. Privacy and Security
11.1. No personal information you submit to us will be shared with any other third party. If you wish to discuss any concerns please first contact us at dk.robomojo@gmail.com We do however reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by South African Law. When that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.
12. Change of Terms
12.1. From time to time our laser cutting and laser engraving terms and conditions may change. If we need to change our terms, we will post those changes to this statement. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
